A principal Secretary in one of the key government departments has been in the spotlight after making a killing during the Covid-19 pandemic through corrupt deals.
Sources say the government official is currently planning to buy a house in a foreign country just in case the scandal in the health ministry breaks out and she needs a place to run to.
The unnamed PS’s appetite for public money has seen her instigate a leadership crisis at a state corporation. It is alleged that she has been sponsoring negative articles in some of the media outlets after the head of the parastatal refused to play the ball on her dubious deals.
Should the Health Cabinet Secretary keep his word and bring to book all those who have taken advantage of the health crisis in the country, then the PS will have to run away before the law catches up with her.

CS Mutahi Kagwe promised the country that all those involved in the corrupt deals in his ministry will have to account for every public money they took. Kagwe is currently trying to clean up the mess at the Afya House and clearing the cartels in the ministry – a problem that has affected the productivity of the ministry for a long time.
