Police officers in Webuye are looking for a handshake supporter who reportedly assaulted a disabled musician for supporting Deputy President William Ruto.
Bungoma East Police boss Valarian Obore said officers are in search of Bernard Wakamala, commonly referred to as Jaramogi, for allegedly clobbering David Sakari, who usually performs at Webuye Juakali band troupe.
The short-statured performer is commonly remembered for being awarded a customized vehicle for the disabled by William Ruto in 2016.
According to Obore, Sakari was assaulted at Satellite Hotel in Webuye town on Friday night after praising his political idol – William Ruto.
