Two suspects are set to be charged with murder following the death of a gang-rape victim.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Kuresoi South, Nakuru County, have arrested two suspects who are tied together with an assault on murder charges.

32-year-old Bernard Korir and 40-year-old Nelson Langat who are presently being held in police custody awaiting arraignment were involved in the gang rape that led to the death of the victim.

This comes after a 26-year-old female was reportedly assaulted and gang-raped at Chigamaba village in Olenguruone on September 19, 2020. She later died.

The two suspects involved in the gruesome incident were not the only ones.

The relevant authorities are looking out for the rest of the suspects.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is in preference to charge the suspects with murder charges on this case.
