Currently, Kenyans and Ugandans are entangled in an online battle through the #KenyaVsUganda, each country trying to show it is better than the other.
The hashtag has been active since Tuesday evening(East African time) with both parties coming up with memes to show superiority.
It all began when Barbadian singer Robyn Fenty popularly known as Rihanna announced that she will be launching her beauty and skin care products in 7 African countries.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment!! @fentybeauty&@fentyskinare finally dropping in AFRICA!!! Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe…we comin at ya May 27th and that’s just the beginning!!!” Rihanna said in a tweet.
The big issue is that Ugandans might have felt ‘jealous’ after seeing Kenya being among the 7 chosen countries.
That triggered one of the country’s citizens to question Rihanna why she settled on Kenya yet the country has ‘problems’.
“Why is Kenya there? They don’t even have electricity in Nairobi,” Jonam Princess commented on Rihanna’s post thus sparking a twitter war.
Another Ugandan responded by sharing their a photo a lady, allegedly Ugandan first lady, just to prove why Rihanna should have settled on their country and not Kenya, which he acknowledges is an athletics country.
“This is Uganda’s First Lady. Rihanna you should have considered Beauty first before adding Kenya. They gonna make your products look fake. Buy them Running shoes,” the twitter user said.
