Defiant Jubilee Senator doesn’t need Raila Odinga to survive the purge

Date:

One Jubilee nominated Senator, Hon. Naomi Waqo has come forward to thwart any claims that she reached out to Raila “Baba” Odinga to help her retain her seat in the senate.

This comes after most legislators in the Jubilee party were purged by the president for failing to heed to his instruction.

Naomi Waqo was one of the Senators who snubbed Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting in State House.

The nominated Senator’s name was listed among the names of those who were supposed to be purged from the Jubilee Party after failing to appear before the President at State House a few weeks ago.

Waqo who is a keen supporter of Deputy President, William Ruto wasn’t amused after learning that there have been some rumors saying that she reached out to Raila Odinga to help him plead her case with President Kenyatta so that she doesn’t get kicked out by the leader of the party who also happens to be Uhuru.

The word in the politicals reliable streets is that she reached out to Jubilee Party officials who are believed to be close aides to the President and later on contacted Raila Odinga.

Waqo who since apologized to Uhuru for skipping the meeting at State House after she gave out excuses upon excuses to win over President’s mercy has cleared the air on the same saying that she doesn’t even have Raila Odinga’s number.

It is also believed that most Jubilee leaders who were members of Ruto’s Tanga Tanga are seeking out Raila Odinga to help them survive the Jubilee purge that has seen a lot of politicians’ clout cut short.
