Atwoli States His Demands To Accept William Ruto As President

Date:

Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary general Francis Atwoli has once again broken his silence on what he thinks about William Ruto as president elect.

Atwoli while speaking in Embu made it clear that William Ruto should not be vengeful because that is not what Kenyans expect from him in case he forms government.

Atwoli stated that it is time for political parties especially from Azimio and Kenya Kwanza to come together and share positions in government for the sake of peace in our country.

The COTU secretary general added that he does not care about who holds which position in government as long as they are not corrupt.

“And we don’t want revengeful leaders. A leader who says that when I get it Atwoli will see me. You will see me? You will just wait I equally came from people. And I say you want to revenge on me and I come up with my people how will Kenya look like? We want leaders who are true Christians, leaders who are forgiving and leaders who will unite this country.”

He further reiterated that vengeful leaders who engage in arbitrary arrests of those they don’t like drag the progress of our nation behind since they only make our women and children to suffer more.

“And i have said time and again the people who normally suffer are women, children and workers. We don’t want our workers like what happened in Sudan when they overthrew president Bashir, a lot of our workers suffered, a lot of people came up with revengeful missions, they detained people arbitrarily. That is not the country we want! We moved from there and we are in a democratic society where the constituting guarantees each and everyone’s property and his or her life to be protected by the government.” Continued Atwoli.
