There was drama today in Nanyuki town after a carwash attendant rolled down a Toyota Prado belonging to a customer.
The middle attendant who operates in Nanyuki town requested for car keys from the car owner. Consequently, instead of starting to wash, the attendant decided to test his driving skills on the fuel guzzler. Put in another way, the middle aged man decided to show the road onlookers what he was made of.
Unknown to the owner, the rogue attendant was on a road trip “enjoying the fruits of his hard work.” It is then that he got an accident, which saw the car roll down facing upside down.
Shocked by the event, the Prado owner was left bemused with nothing much to do. The only consolation he had was the curious onlookers who threw blames to the carwash attendant.
Cases of these attendants asking for vehicle keys are common in Kenya. However, very few people take their time to verify whether they are competent drivers. As a result, some end up causing accidents leaving the owners worried.
