726 patients tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours from a sample of 4,316 tested as 728 others recovered from the virus.
Today’s positive cases raises Kenya’s total tally to 63,244 positive cases according to the health cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe. To date, Kenya has tested a whopping 746,797 cumulatively since the onset of the virus.
The total recoveries now stand at 42,659 after 728 more patients recovered in the last 24 hours. Out of that, 83 cases were discharged from healthcare centers while the other 645 recovered from the home based care.
From the 756 positive cases, 25 were foreign citizens while 731 were Kenyans with the oldest being 81 years while the youngest being a 1 year old child.

Of the positive cases, Nairobi got the largest share of 371, followed by Mombasa at 82, Kiambu at 52, Busia 39, Uasin Gishu 34, kajiado 27, Kakamega 18, Machakos 17, Nyeri 17, Nakuru 14, Kisumu 13, Kilifi 10, Meu 8, Kisii 7, Nyamira 5, Nandi 5, Homabay 4, Laikipia 4, Kericho 4, Lamu 4,Narok 3, Murang’a 3, Nyandarua 3, Elgeyo Marakwet 2 Isiolo 2, and Vihiga 2. Others that recorded 1 case each include Wajir, Tharaka Niithi, Trans Nzoia, Turkana,Bungoma, Taita Taveta, Bomet, Tana River and Kitui.
