Nigeria has been gripped by bloody #EndSARS protests that has seen hundreds of demonstrators killed and property destroyed.
Millions of demonstrators took to the streets of cities across Nigeria to demand the government to shut down Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a notorious police unit known as SARS.
The squad was launched to fight crime, but it has been blamed for carrying out torture and killings, according to Amnesty International.
#EndSARS campaign spread across Nigeria since early October when the protests began, the hashtag has since been trending worldwide.
Nearly all Nigerian celebrities have voiced their support for #EndSARS campaign, some have even hit the streets in solidarity with demonstrators.
A man by the name Kenechukwu Okeke, with the Twitter handle @HumanRightsNG, has now take legal action against celebs for their involvement in #EndSARS protests.

At least 50 celebrities are facing a criminal complaint for their involvement in the #EndSARS protests.
Among celebs listed in the suit include; Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Flavour, P Square duo Peter and Paul Okoye, Banky W, Tuface among others.
The plaintiff alleges that his property was destroyed during the riots which he claims was instigated and incited by the 50 accused persons. He wants the promoters of #EndSars protests be brought to justice.
“Having initiated criminal proceedings against the #EndSARS riots promoters at exactly 1052hrs WAT, 09/11/2020, we shall ensure that same is diligently prosecuted in the interest of defence, public safety and public order. The Federal Republic of Nigeria is country of laws,” Kenechukwu Okeke tweeted.

Adding that;
“By the special grace of God, I shall pursue this matter diligently and impassively to ensure that maximum punishments are meted to the alleged promoters of #EndSARS riots in accordance with the laws of the land. Nobody is above the law, this case should be a ‘locus classicus’.”
