An unidentified old woman has sent shock waves to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party after criticizing wheelbarrow as a sign of bad luck.
According to the woman who quoted the Bible, wheelbarrow is a symbol of suffering that makes even God sad wherever he is.
The woman also took offence with the hustler narrative that has been at the center of the deputy president’s campaign since the 2018 handshake between president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
As a result, the woman concluded that Ruto’s UDA wants to create slavery in the country by virtue of having a wheelbarrow as their major symbol.
” Na sasa tunaambiwa we are hustlers sisi si ma hustlers. Alama ya wheelbarrow ni nini? Mungu anasema alama ya wheelbarrow ni alama ya utumwa. Kwa hivyo mnataka watu wawe watumwa katika nchi yao (Loosely translated: Now we are being told that we are hustlers. We are not hustlers. What does the wheelbarrow symbol portray? God says that wheelbarrow is the representation of slavery. Therefore, you want people to be slaves in their own country.”
The woman continued: ” Sioni vile kijana aliye na nduthi anaeza toka kwa nduthi aende aendeshe wheelbarrow vile mnatuonyeshanga kwa TV. Surely ( Loosely translated: I don’t see the possibility of a young bodaboda man abandoning his motorbike business just to go and ride a wheelbarrow the way you normally show us on televisions carrying yourselves on wheelbarrows. Surely UDA!”
While other Kenyans agreed with the woman, there are those who had completely different views on her analogy. Below were the mixed reactions:
“That election had both raila and ruto on one side and team kibaki on the other side.why cant we reject all of them. Must it be a game of either Ruto or Raila?”
“You seem to know God , the same word of God inasema tusameheane ndivyo na sisi tusamehewe, stop reminding people of the past we must learn to forgive each other. As mother all you have to do is to pray for peace ✌ I’m our beautiful country.”
“hahaha ataka kusema tununue tinga tinga tuwe tunaenda mjengo nazo, hope yeye si mkikuyu ama ni wale lazy bodys.”
She has spoken like a true mother. The genuine pain in her words.
She remembers death then she also see a sitting Deputy President promising young people archaic tools to ply their trade.
It’s a tragic world for her. She doesn’t see the logic. She is RIGHT and she is a MOTHER pic.twitter.com/40Au3fCCET
