Theatrics Or Reality? Maria Actress Dorea Chege Threatened After Declaring Interest In Politics

Maria actress Dorea Chege, popularly known as Maggie Maria  claimed that she has been receiving threats after declaring interest in politics.

In a 30 seconds long video she shared on her social media accounts, the actress claimed that people have been calling her and sending her threatening messages.

Dorea declared her interest in Nairobi’s Women Rep position a few days ago saying that she will be contesting as an independent candidate.

“My name is Hon. Dorea Chege and as you know am vying for  Women Rep Nairobi county. Am not happy by the way. Am receiving messages  I’m receiving calls of threats from you guys. Let me tell, am not stepping down and one thing that you need to know, am not a coward. I may not have that money but let me tell tupatane kwa debe, kura iongee,” an agitated Dorea said.

Her fans were however left in confusion wondering whether she was acting or she was serious about the issue while others said that her fame in acting should not blind her that she will claim the position.

“Yes we know you don’t get  scared easily but politics ain’t about theatrics,” Steve Ander Martial told her.

“mbona sasa utukasirikie IG?? Si uende ground useme?” Wema Ben said.

Other fans felt that Dorea was coming with too much force and she should cool down a bit as others encouraged her to go for her dream.

Frost said,”No one will vote for you anyway.”

“Mheshimiwa unatafuta na fujo,” Iam Almas Maitha’s comment read.
