Hip-hop singer Nazizi Hirji’s son, Jazeel, tragically died on Christmas in an accident while on vacation with his parents in Tanzania.
In a statement shared by Nazizi on social media, Jazeel died in the accident at the hotel where they were staying.
“We lost this young soul in an unfortunate accident at the hotel where the family was staying,” the statement read in part.
Jazeel’s body was transferred to Nairobi and buried on Wednesday, according to his religion.
“The void left by the loss is both immeasurable, and the pain is unbearable,” Nazizi said.
The songstress requested for privacy as the family mourns Jazeel.
“We appeal for your compassion and understanding out of respect for their need for peace during this time of mourning.”
