Shock As 18 School Girls Get Defiled And Left Pregnant As Perpetrators Flee Village

Date:

Parents in Kamuneru area of Mt. Elgon fear for the safety of their daughters following a revelation that 18 girls have been defiled and left pregnant.

The girls from Kamuneru primary school and secondary school were defiled by men who have since ran away from the village.

One of the victim’s mother said that there is no guarantee that they will receive justice since none of the culprits has been arrested by the police.

“I am a bitter mother. My daughter is among the 18 girls who were sexually violated. The painful part is that even after reporting the incidents at Kamuneru police post, none of the culprits has been brought to book since they went into hiding,” an agitated mother said.

She urged the government to intervene so that the culprits can be brought to book.

“Very soon, these girls will deliver. Who will take care of them and their babies? We are therefore asking the government of Kenya to hunt for the suspects so that our girls get justice,” she pleaded.

Another parent disclosed that his daughter who is in form two was defiled by his neighbor’s son who fled the village thereafter.

Since then his daughter’s performance in class has dwindled.

“My daughter used to post very impressive results in her academics, in most cases she emerged position one. However, after she was defiled her performance is deteriorating,” he said.

The father complained that her daughter’s state has stressed the entire family because of the demands she makes.

“Nowadays, my daughter cannot eat everything she used to eat before she was impregnated. Sometimes she makes some demands that I cannot meet, this is stressing me so much,” he added.

The distressed father urged parents of the perpetrators to provide authorities with information that might lead to their arrest.
