Ruto Ally Rigathi Gachagua Brags About Violence In Church As He Makes Damning Allegations

Date:

Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua bragged in church that he would have incited his supporters to cause violence if police were to arrest him.

Speaking during a church service at the Latter Glory Worship Centre in Gachie, Kiambaa Constituency, Kiambu County, Gachagua made a series of allegations against the government.

He claimed that government intimidated Ruto supporters during Kiambaa by-election, saying that he was arrested and after his release he threatened to incite violence if he was to be re-arrested.

Speaking in the presence of DP William Ruto, Gachagua bragged that police couldn’t re-arrest him because youth in his Nyeri backyard would have caused chaos.

“Unajua hii Kiambaa ililetea mimi matatizo kubwa kwa sababu siku ya campaign niliitwa na mama mmoja wa system akaniambia nitoke Kiambaa ama utaona, nkamuambia akwende. Tukaskuma tukaskuma tukawashinda. Wakakuja wakanishika wakanitumia askari hamsini. Wakanifungia hapa Gilgil Friday, Saturday, Sunday wakaniachilia Monday. Sasa huyu aliponiambia mheshimiwa tukuje Sunday nkamuambia nawezashikwa Friday, nkaenda kukaa Nyeri ndo wakinishika huko vijana yangu wanaakisha matyre,” said Gachagua.

He further bragged how UDA candidate won ‘overwhelmingly’ in Kiambaa by-election after the government spent millions to bribe voters.

Njuguna Wanjiku of UDA has won against Kariri Njama of Jubilee in the July 2021 by-elections. Wanjiku beat his rival by razor thin margin to garner 21,773 votes to Kariri’s 21,263 – a different 510 votes.

The Mathira MP also claimed that Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Dr. Karanja Kibicho bribed Kirinyaga residents to heckle Ruto during Mashujaa Day celebrations.

He said that Kirinyaga residents cheered the DP even after being bribed by Kibicho to heckle him.

Gachagua further noted that Ruto will win overwhelmingly in the forthcoming 2022 presidential election.
