An ODM member and former MP of Kasarani Elizabeth Ongoro has been given a week to file her grounds of opposition on the move by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to drop Kenya’s ambassador to Malaysia from a 48million corruption case.
The order was issued to Elizabeth Ongoro and 16 other people by the court.
This comes after state counsel Steve Githinji informed Milimani Chief magistrate Lawrence Mugambi that the defense lawyers had not filed their opposition papers to his boss Noordin Haji’s decision to drop charges against diplomat Ruth Kanini Kittony in the corruption case.
In March this year, Noordin Haji’s office made an application in court saying they had decided to drop the diplomat as a suspect after evaluating the case.

According to the DPP Kittony will however be used as a state witness in the corruption case.
