Raila: Be Strong Because I’m Not Yet Tired

Date:

The Azimio One Kenya Leader Raila Odinga has promised to continue with his aim of liberating the country.

Speaking during the burial of Mama Ida Odinga’s bodyguard, Barrack Oduor in Siaya County, Raila promised to tell citizens the way to go in the coming days. This comes just a week after he told President Ruto together with the Kenya Kwanza team through a tweet, as he was travelling to India, to stop lamenting.

“Baba has left the country for a week’s visit to several nations starting with India; see you all when I’m back. Meanwhile, can William Ruto & Kenya Kwanza stop it with the lamentations?” Read the tweet.

Speaking in his native language, the ODM leader assured Kenyans of a comfortable life, what he termed as service to the nation.

“Be strong because I am not yet tired. Should I give up or continue? I will give directions on the path we shall take when the time is right. Going forward, we want to bring change to our people so that Kenyans can live comfortable life. That is what service to the nation is all about.” said the former prime minister.

The opposition leader was accompanied by other leaders including Governor Siaya County James Orengo, Kisumu County Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o and KANU Secretary General Nick Salat.

Giving his speech, the governor of Kisumu County insisted that they won the August 2022 general elections.

” We did not lose. We stood for the truth, we fought for the people and we know that what happened is not what the people wanted.” said the professor.

James Orengo also supported Raila Odinga’s sentiments telling the people that they will soon realize who Raila Odinga is.

“We will not give up on the liberation struggle so you better be prepared. You will understand what type of leader Raila Odinga is. Courage and determination will take us where we want to go,” said the Siaya County Governor.

The late Barrack Oduor died after being shot in Kisumu.
