“President William Ruto’s first 100 days were a waste of time!” – Raila Odinga

Date:

The situation of Kenyans is worse than it was during the campaigns, says Raila Odinga.

President William Ruto’s first 100 days in office, according to Raila Odinga, leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance, were just a wasting of time.

Kenya Kwanza government received an average score of 4 out of 10, which is below average, according to the opposition leader.

“Where Kenyans expected and deserved a massive stimulus package to bail them out of the devastating economic circumstances, they got hit with the cancellation of the subsidies that had cushioned millions from the pain. In these 100 days, the government pulled more Kenyans out of the frying pan and threw them into the flames.” he states in a report.

The ODM chairman continued by claiming that no clear economic plan or strategy for the present or the foreseeable future has been revealed since Ruto became president of Kenya.

According to Raila, the events over the past 100 days illustrate a blatant disregard for Chapter Six of Kenya’s Constitution.

He asserted that contrary to election campaign promises, Ruto’s administration has shown no interest in lowering the price of essential products, creating jobs, increasing output, or lifting people out of poverty.

“We see no strategy to transition this economy from anemic growth to recovery and, eventually, prosperity,” Raila Odinga added.
