Nuru Okanga Speaks on Getting 401 KCPE Marks

Ardent Raila Odinga supporter Nuru Okanga distanced from the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results shared on various social media platforms.

Speaking to a local media channel, Okanga stated that he was yet to receive his KCPE results.

Okanga stated that he had sent the message but due to high traffic in the number of requests he was yet to receive his results.

“That index number does not belong to me,” he told a local media publication.

” I am still trying to get my results because Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is yet to release the statement, ” he added.

Candidates and guardians were expected to send their index number followed by ‘KCPE’ to 40054 at a rate of Ksh25 per text.

“We apologize for the delay in accessing KCPE 2023 results through the SMS code. We will update you once they are available on 40054,”  KNEC statement read in part.

The staunch Azimio la Umoja supporter sat for his KCPE exams at Mumias Muslim Primary School.

He decided to go back to school in order to pursue his political ambitions.

After sitting for his first paper, the 32-year-old expressed gratitude to Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah for equipping him with a well-trained tutor prior to the exam period.

When asked what he expects in the national exams, Okanga noted that his aim is to achieve 250 marks out of 500.

Nonetheless several leaders including former Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa congratulated Okanga for excelling in KCPE exams.

“Congratulations my friend Nuru Okanga for passing your KCPE exams with flying colors! We are proud of you @DAP_Kenya @AzimioTv &so are the People of Western, Kakamega County,Matungu Constituency,Kholera Ward!Yours is an inspiring story of never, ” Wamalwa wrote.

In the just released exams, the top candidate got 428 marks out of the possible 500.
