Actor Nick Ndeda’s ex-girlfriend Muthoni Gitau is one of the many celebrities who have come out clean when it comes to parenting.
The digital content creator and interior designer has stood her ground that she is not willing to become a mother even in marriage.
Instead, Muthoni said that only she just wants to care of cats and not children.
“I don’t want to give birth, I don’t want to mother, I even don’t want to be a step mum, the only mum I want to be is a cat mum,” she added.
During a YouTube interview, Muthoni revealed that that was a decision she made while she was 10 years and her parents and family has since respected it since she was raised in a manner that she could make informed decisions.
Even though she looks forward to having a glamorous wedding, having children in not her option and she only looks forward to travel the world with her partner.
“I see myself with a partner travelling the world and that end there,” she noted.
Muthoni said that the society expects women to become mothers and most of the women are not allowed to decide whether they want to indulge in motherhood or not.
“Women have been conditioned to serve men and are not allowed to choose what they really want in life. It’s okay to live, it’s okay to choose yourself,” she stated.
She further said that the only reasons people give as to why they want to become parents is legacy and family continuation.
Muthoni said that the she considers the topic as a serious matter and makes it clear on her first date.
She also said that she does not wish to end with a partner who will manage to convince her otherwise.
