“My Purpose, I Feel Is Greater” Singer Avril Reveals Why She Is Performing Poorly In Music Nowadays

Date:

Singer Judy Nyambura commonly known as Avril has shut down critics saying she is not consistent in music as used to be.

Some felt that her reluctance is what has made her lose fans and that is why her latest songs are not doing well.

Avril however said that those saying so do not follow up what she does but her real fans are aware of every step she makes.

“I have always been consistent, I release music every year. My true fans will know I only release music in April every year, my birthday month. So on 30th of April, my real fans always know that there is always going to be content that is chucking and that has been the norm so guys who say I have not been releasing content probably don’t follow up what I do and I totally understand, we all have a different test in music,” the Najivunia hitmaker said in an interview with YouTuber Mungai Eve.

Avril was  recently trolled after her latest song managed to gather less than a thousand views on YouTube within 8 hours of being released. That was however not a big deal for her and she said that her songs will trend when she dies.

Addressing that, the mother of one said that she spoke the truth adding that people are only celebrated when they die like in the late Mwai Kibaki’s case.

“Did I lie? We only celebrate people when they pass, don’t we? We saw it with the late Kibaki. There are people who would have felt that he did nothing but when he died they were like this guy did this…that..,” Avril noted.

The entrepreneur also said that she does not do music for the claps adding that, “I don’t do it for the celebration but if eventually people associate my music with being celebrated, that would be lovely.”

Avril however admits that seeing the people’s comments about getting less views on her music compared to other artists made her feel bad at first but she did not take it personally.  She said that she does not constantly update people about her life because she has a lot to do.

“I am not that artist who is constantly telling people about my life, I mean I have a whole company that I am running, so there are so many things that come to play in terms of where my energy lies and my energy can not lie in clout chasing, because my purpose, I feel it is greater,

“I am a mom, I am a mom of a very small  business, there are so many things I have to do with my time  and music is one of those thing that I really love so I don’t do it with the intention that I need to cause drama for me to I what I need to do,” she said.
