Musician Pays Back DP Ruto By Donating A piece Of Land To Build UDA Offices

Date:

A Webuye based artist has donated a piece of land measuring 100×60 for the construction of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) offices.

Zakari Daudi said that he has donated the piece of land in good faith for the construction of the offices that will be used as the UDA’s headquarters in Bungoma county.

“I have a piece of land here in Webuye which I have given to Ruto so that he can construct UDA offices and headquarters. When he comes here on Thursday, my prayer is that he will lay the foundation stone for the construction,” Daudi said.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Zakari urged Bungoma county residents to join UDA to ensure that DP Ruto wins in the coming General Elections.

“Having an office here will attract people to join the party. I call on Bungoma residents to come out in large numbers to welcome our incoming president when he tours this region on Thursday,” he appealed.

Daudi’s gesture has been interpreted as a way of paying back the deputy president for having bought him a car to ease his movement since he is a person living with disability.

DP Ruto gifted him a car after he entertained him in a fund drive at Webuye West constituency in aid of Matulo Friends Girls Secondary School as campaigns for the 2017 general elections heated up.

Daudi has however denied that donating the piece of land was a way of paying back Ruto for buying him the car.

“I didn’t donate land because he bought me a car, no. I am member of the UDA party and Ruto is also my friend, it is only wise that I support his presidential bid,” Zakari allegedly told Tuko news.
