Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago and Kesses constituency member of parliament Mishra Kiprop Arap Chelule were almost involved in a fist fight over William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Mandago while addressing a gathering in Rift Valley reminded Mishra that he would go nowhere politically if he did not join the UDA. As a result, he told him that he would never see the Kesses parliamentary seat outside the newly formed party.
“Mishra, nobody should lie to you my friend, if you don’t come to UDA, I don’t see you remaining a member of parliament for Kesses. It is good to be honest you know me. I can’t lie to you because I don’t want you to give me any money. I am not looking for a job but I want to tell you the truth because you confessed you are a Kalenjin so why should we lie to you?
However, Mishra who could not take lying Mandago’s sentiments told him off that his relationship with the Kalenjins was more than just political. According to him, he has been in Kalenjin land and he will live there the rest of his life. He added that he would only join a political vehicle that his constituents direct him to.
“Let me tell you, my life, my relationship with Kalenjin is not about election or an MP, I am a son of Kalenjin i will die and remain a Kalenjin. Even UDA should not come in between me and Kalenjin but i told them where Kalenjin will tell me i will go there.
Mandago further told Mishra that he was the official Kalenjin leader in Eldoret and that his coming to UDA was not negotiable.
However, these sentiments did not go well with Kenyans who had the following to say:
“Then your master is always preaching eti Hana ukabila.. And we know ni Chama ya Kalenjins….. afadhali in nyanza people elected some politicians who were not a member of ODM.”
“That is good politics ,there is no fight! Jaribu upinge Baba mbele ya ODM brigades!!”
“Where’s that democracy someone tells us every day that UDA is a national party?”
“Now those who don’t know what is UDA have to confess by eye witness that UDA indeed is a tribal party???,kalenjin party and not a national party like before,even mandango confess in the broad day sunlight??.”
“Then utaskia mtu anasema UDA is a national party.”
“This confirms UDA as a kalenjin party.”
“Huyu asipoingia Ufisadi Daima party atachomewa Nyumba.these people are bullies, dictator, mashetani.”
“Atleast Mt Kenya politics haina fitina kama ya hawa….u never saw Uhuru forcing Karua to join Jubilee….never saw Matiba forcing Kibaki to join his party….never saw Kibaki forcing Uhuru to join Narc.”
“United Dictatorship Alliance for Kalenjins(UDA for Kalenjins, confirmed by the governor).”
“That’s bullying someone for their own interests, but Ruto will terribly fail like nobody’s business in Africa come 2022, be rest assured ?.”
“Why force someone to join a party he or she doesn’t want to subscribe this Is a democratic country let someone join a party he or she is comfortable with. Many people in rift valley will join UDA not because they subscribe to the ideals of the party but because of coaxion this is how UDA will next year be viewed as a kalenjin party and it will end in tears and the reality not all kenyans are ignorant they’re silent for now but wataongea kwa Debe
I think kenyans need to be careful don’t vote a leader based on party or tribal affiliations vote for someone who carries your interest at heart
Mishra has done so well in his constituency let him be vote for what he has done for the people of kesses and not for following Ruto
Kesses constituents vote for Mishra for what he has done for you and not because he’s being forced to join UDA.”
“And now this confirms UDA is a kalenjin thing……remember mandago killed moi university while people were just clapping.”
“This is no news. Chama chochote kikitanjwa , what’s comes to every Kenyan is the party Boss and where he comes from ( tribe) This doesn’t mean the party is a tribal party, but truth be told it must have a strong backing from the party leaders background. Don’t pretend to expect what’s impossible.”
“That’s how mandago killed moi university and the villagers were clapping like that.”
