A bus belonging to Moi University has been involved in a road accident. The accident occurred in the Limuru area on Wednesday, March 27.
From photos and videos shared online, the bus landed on the ditch and overturned on the side.
Preliminary reports indicate that the students escaped unhurt following the road accident.
By the time of this publication, the National Police Service had not issued a statement regarding the accident. Moi University had also not responded to the incident.
However, the accident slightly disrupted traffic on the busy highway with motorists strangling to pass the section due to a hue crowd that had gathered to witness and save the students.
The incident comes days after several students from Kenyatta University lost their lives following a tragic accident on the Maungu area.
Speaking at the memorial service held at the university on Sunday, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu stated that the Ministry of Education shall continue to collaborate with the school and the injured victims in hospitals.
