A pastor in a local church in Meru has reportedly impregnated his three daughters and even went further and raped his granddaughter.
According to the residents, the man identified as Kirema has been telling his daughters that all the men in the area are sick, and therefore urged them not to follow them.
Residents say during school days , he has been escorting his daughters to school using his motorbike and gets them in the evening after school.
” His daughters cannot even greet any man around. The father told them that we are sick. When schools were in session, he could escort them up to the gate and later go for them at the evening. We were silent that the three daughters had his babies, but why then go to a small girl who is his grand child? ” Said one of the residents.
We tried to talk to the chief, who informed us that the man was arrested on Saturday, but he was released on bond .
He further said that Mr Kirema, apart from being a pastor, he was also the area manager, but he dismissed him from Saturday.
The residents could not be controlled, and latter moved to Kiathandi Sub location, which is Kirema’s residence.
They met his three sons who had well-sharpened machetes ready to defend their father from the mob .
Matters became worse, when these machetes were taken from the hands of these three gentlemen and beaten mercilessly.
All this time, there was no police who had shown up in the area to calm the situation, despite the area having a police post. The sons of Kirema escaped, which gave enough space for these people to get into his home and get a bull
The bull, according to Meru culture , is a fine that one gives out to either the elders or the age group upon committing the abominable act .The pastor has since gone missing
