India Government bans Tik Tok and other Chinese apps in India

The government of India has banned the now-viral mobile application, Tik Tok, and other Chinese-built mobile applications.

In a massive development, the Home Ministry on Monday has banned over 50 Chinese Apps including Tik-Tok.

The move to banned 59 apps from China by India’s Home Ministry has come after it has received many complaints from various sources.

Some of the several reports include the misuse of these apps for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers that have locations outside India.

This move comes amid the ongoing India-China standoff at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
