“I am shattered” Moses Kuria In Tears As Media Personality Janet Mbugua Rejects His Job Offer

Date:

This political season seems to be a bad one for Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria after two influential women turned down offers to work with him.

First it was Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua who  indirectly rejected Kuria’s offer of becoming DP William Ruto’s running mate in the Kenya Kwanza coalition by deciding to support Raila Odinga’s presidential candidature.

Then followed Janet Mbugua, former news anchor at Citizen TV,  who was allegedly among those who had applied to serve as Kuria’s deputy once he clinches the Kiambu gubernatorial position.

Taking to social media, the Chama Cha Kazi party leader revealed that Mbugua among the top performers of the position that he advertised barely weeks ago. He added that the media personality would not take up the role because of her engagement elsewhere.

“I am shattered. After scoring the highest marks in the talent search for Kiambu Deputy Governor, Janet Mbugua will not be taking up the job due to unforeseen personal emergencies that she has to attend to in the immediate term,” Kuria said.

The lawmaker however said that he looks forward to working with the media personality in future since she was a big inspiration to the society.

“My administration will definitely find a way to benefit from Janet’s experience and capacity in the future. I feel the loss. Janet is a huge inspiration for the youth, for professionals, for women and for young mothers of this country,” Kuria noted.

In his advertisement for the position on March 9, Kuria said that he was looking for a lady who is aggressive, self motivated and self driven

“The successful candidate must possess a Masters Degree and a proven track record leading a complex organization with at least a 10-year work experience, five of which must be in a senior executive level,” the advert read.
