“He Personally Made A Call” Oscar Sudi On How President Kenyatta Is Involved In Sakaja’s Academic Woes

Date:

Kapseret Member of parliament Oscar Sudi has claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta is involved in Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja’s academic woes.

According to Sudi, Kenyatta personally made a call to a person in Uganda hence the degree troubles surrounding the senator.

The MP however promised to disclose the identity of the individual  that the president called soon.

“Uhuru Kenyatta is pushing @SakajaJohnsonto the wall. He personally made a call to someone in Uganda of which I will soon disclose. Regardless of these schemes we know that the court will serve justice to Sakaja. IEBC should stand firm in its grounds and maintain the status quo,” Sudi shared on his Twitter account.

Sudi made the statement after reports emerged that the Commission for University Education had revoked its recognition of Sakaja’s degree from Team University in Uganda. The degree in question is a Bachelor’s of Science in Management.

“The Commission for University Education has received material information about the authenticity of the degree you (Sakaja) presented from Team University that will require further investigation to ascertain the validity of the said-degree certificate,” part of the CUE chairperson Charles Nyaigotti’s letter that was addressed to Sakaja and IEBC read.

Sakaja’s troubles deepened when four Nairobi-based voters filed petitions seeking to have his clearance by IEBC in the  Nairobi gubernatorial contest revoked for failing to meet the required academic qualifications.

One of the petitioners said that Sakaja  had been a full time MP and there was no way he had gotten time to take the above mentioned undergraduate course.

Initially he claimed to have graduated from UoN and was a fourth year student in 2007.

His situation worsened when University of Nairobi confirmed that he is yet to graduate with an Actuarial Science degree since joining the institution in 2003.

The institution went ahead to expunge his name from the alumni page on Tuesday.
