“He Is Falling Into The Trap” Details Of Well Calculated Move That Seeks To Completely Finish Gachagua

Date:

Former Nyeri Township MP and a close ally of former president Uhuru Kenyatta Ngunjiri Wambugu has shared details of a plot that is set to finish DP Rigathi Gachagua and trim his powers as the second in command..

In a statement on Wednesday, while referring to The Star and Nation headlines where CBK governor and New DCI boss were responding to Gachagua’s  recent remarks, Wambugu maintained that the media is also participating in the scheme by focusing on the funny  and controversial parts of his remarks even though he says a lot of sensible things.

“A few weeks ago I raised a concern about the seemingly deliberate efforts to caricature the DP. I pointed out that it doesn’t look random. Let’s be honest, the man from my home county is neither the worst-dressed politician around; nor is he a political buffoon. But we have cartoons & memes of him as such. He also says a lot of sensible stuff in between his earthy humor & jokes. But Media somehow tends to only carry those stories that make us laugh at him,” the former MP said.

According to him, if the trend continues, no one will take Gachagua seriously, especially now that government officers are confidently responding to him. He further said that his office and roles will soon be undermined, adding that Gachagua is however falling in the trap.

“Now we are at a point where government officers are comfortable responding to him via the media. Gradually we will get to a point where his public image will be of a political joker who’s out of his depth as DP. (And he’s falling into the trap). In a couple of months no one will take him or what he says seriously. Ultimately this will completely undermine his office & his role as DP. To what end, especially considering in this government the two leaders are working well together? Ama mimi kama Opposition siwezi elewa mambo ya hii serikali?” he posed.
