Unconfirmed reports indicate that Deputy President William Ruto is out of the country seeking medication.
According to blogger Robert Alai, the deputy president is in Dubai where he is being treated for an unspecified disease.
“Ruto is in Dubai treating some unspecified disease. Ingekua Raila who was in Dubai, tungeona sana. Where is Ruto? In which hospital in Dubai?” Alai revealed.
A section of Kenyans however felt that the second in command is not out there seeking treatment but is on a mission.
“Why am I the person who feels Ruto went there kukutana na watu flani ili wamsaidie kuiba kura August?? My friend Ruto is not that stupid it’s more than treatment,” proud Kenyan said.
“That’s the difference between mama mboga & Ruto! Mama mboga will queue at KNH for over 10hrs to be seen while Ruto flies for 3hrs to Dubai & meets his personal doctor without a Queue. WAJINGA SISI!” Farouk said while Ng’etich Geofrey responded to him saying,
“kwani ulikuwa unataka aendage hiyo dispensary ya kwenu for you to claim he is caring or do you want every sick mama mboga to be flown by hustler, that can’t happen even in a developed country. Ruto is conductor,Uhuru Ni driver so fikiria na Usishike Mawe August.”
Others however claim that he did not want to feel the effects of a looming pact between OKA, Jubilee and Azimio la Umoja Movement as others said that he has a personal life aside from politics.
“Did the hustler sense this earthquake coming hence ran to safer grounds!!!we are told he is not in town,” Jomakory wrote.
According to reports, OKA, under the leadership of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, intends to sign an agreement with the ruling party and Azimio la Umoja after a highly confidential meeting between members of the political affiliations, that lasted for two days.
However, neither DP Ruto or his office have confirmed or denied the medication reports. On Tuesday, DP Ruto took his Uchumi Kwanza campaigns to the Westlands part of Nairobi.
