“Come And Face Me!” Kuria Tells Off Gachagua And Nyoro Over Supremacy Battle

Date:

Public Sevice CS Moses Kuria has weighed on the ongoing kingpin battle between DP Rigathi Gachagua and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

Taking to X, Kuria indirectly tackled his opponents while challenging them to face him in the open.

“You can not be declared an Olympic Swimming Champion for swimming in a bathtub. Oh ye angling for regional supremacy, come and face me in the open Indian Ocean that is the great Republic of Kenya,” he said.

Several leaders from Mt. Kenya have endorsed Nyoro to be William Ruto’s running mate in 2027.

Led by Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu and Gatanga MP Edward Muriu, the leaders noted that Ruto’s chances of re-election are minimal if he maintains Gachagua as his running mate.

“We will request Ruto to choose a young person from Murang’a who is Ndindi Nyoro; Gachagua has lost his ground,” Nyutu said.

On the other hand, Gachagua’s allies have maintained that he is still the region’s kingpin.

Speaking on Saturday at Kiambu Golf Club, Gachagua however told the leaders to be united and focused.

“I urge the leaders to be united and focused. Those scheming to divide the region should know that the people of Mt Kenya are intelligent and are aware of what is happening. Those seeking to divide us are enemies of the region. Our relevance in national leadership lies in our unity. We know what disunity and divisive politics did us in the 1992 and 1997 elections,” he said.
