The Azimio One Kenya Alliance supporters are in total panic after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati and his team messed up the election in their strongholds last minute.
Wafula Chebukati while giving a press release stated that they will not hold elections for the Mombasa gubernatorial elections, Kakamega gubernatorial election, Pokot South constituency, and Kacheliba constituency.
However, the move by Chebukati did not go well with the Azimio team as they claimed that the commission intentionally omitted the two gubernatorial positions in order to discourage voter turnout in Raila’s strongholds.
In an election which is to be won on voter turnout, postponing elections in those two counties will most likely make some residents of Mombasa and Kakamega stay at home.
Asked what led to the error, Chebukati revealed that the printing company was to blame and that they owned up it was their mistake and not that of the commission. On their side, Kenyans questioned why a whole commission could not identify the printing error despite speding millions of taxpayers money to travel abroad to supervise the printing process.

“Mediocrity of the highest order. IEBC was well funded by the government but is now showing incompetency. The ego and pride they had while withdrawing from joint committees on election preparedness isn’t helping them now.”
“Chebukati you gat to admit seems you’re not in capacity to conduct a free,fair and credible election. Step down!”
“This is incompetency wabukati had 5 good years to prepare for this election na hana kazi ingine amepewa na selikari”
“We need to suspend all the election. This is a scam! This error has been detected now? I am sure it was known after the team who were arrested.”
“I wonder what was chebukati doing all those 4 years, waking up and going to office from to work from 8am to 5pm those years, haki chebukati, if this goes in flame kizazi chako kitalaaniwa.”
