Aisha Jumwa Forced To Run For Her Dear Life After Being Caught Bribing Mombasa Voters

Date:

Former Malindi member of parliament Aisha Jumwa on Monday came face to face with angry Mombasa voters at one of the polling stations.

According to a video clip seen by Sonko News, Aisha Jumwa had arrived at the polling station but all did not go well after she came across angry voters that were waiting for her.

Not only did they shout at her but also ordered her to find her way out. Left with no option, Aisha Jumwa ran for her dear life without looking back.

According to credible sources, the angry Mombasa voters accused the governor of carrying money inside her car which she was to continue using to bribe voters in order to influence the outcome of the polls.

The former Kilifi gubernatorial aspirant was caught just a few hours after Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Moses Kuria were equally caught in a similar act. The two leaders were forced to scamper for safety after they were ambushed by Azimio supporters.

At the same time,, Malala’s main opponent in the Kakamega gubernatorial race Fernandes Barasa had complained that there were a lot of voter bribery incidences in Matungu and several other places in the county.

“What we have seen is a lot of voter bribery. My opponent Cleophas Malala has been bribing voters in various polling stations. That is an election offense and I want to urge IEBC and all security agencies to make sure they take action so that people can vote in a free and fair manner without any intimidation,” the ODM candidate told the media.
