Go abuse your mothers, these are the words of President Uhuru Kenyatta who broke his silence on the harsh comments made by MPs Johanna Ng’eno and Oscar Sudi earlier this week against him and his family.
An Angry Uhuru said those “silly” people abusing his mother should be told to abuse their mothers and leave his alone.
Speaking after making a stopover in Ruaka, Kiambu county, the head of state also said though he was young he had no plans to extend his term in 2022, Citizen TV reported.
“Wale watu washenzi wanaenda huko wakitukana mama yangu, waambieni wakatukane mama zao wachaane na mama yangu (Those people who are silly and are going around abusing my mother, tell them to abuse their mothers and leave my mother alone),” Uhuru lashed out.
The President made the comments days after Ng’eno unleashed a bare-knuckle attack against the president and his mother and former first lady, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, and told them that Kenya did not belong to them.
The Emurua Dikir lawmaker who is currently cooling himself inside police cells said Uhuru should work with Deputy President William Ruto or disband the government and go back to Gatundu, his home.
A day later, the MP was arrested in his Magondo home and in response to the apprehension, Sudi took to Facebook and also made scathing comments about the former first lady.
“We understand police have been sent to arrest Ng’eno for saying Kenya doesn’t belong to the President, we want to condemn the imminent arrest and tell him to leave the MP alone,” he said.
Sudi insisted all mothers are equal. Despite coming under attack for his sentiments, the Kapseret lawmaker maintained he had nothing to apologise about because he did not insult anyone.

Uhuru made a surprise stopover at Ruaka in Kiambu and as always, many excited locals surrounded his entourage eager to see and hear from him.
The president briefly addressed the residents as the exhilarated crowd took pictures and videos of him.
Though the gathering was in total disregard of COVID-19 guidelines, the pictures from the scene showed the people were enjoying interacting with the president.
