22 Politicians Allied To Raila And Ruto To Be Barred From Vying In 2022 Anytime From Now

NCIC and EACC plan to block at least 22 politicians allied to both Raila Odinga and William Ruto from contesting in the forthcoming 2022 general election.

National Cohesion integration Commission (NCIC) and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) flagged the politicians for engaging in hate speech, graft among other charges.

The two agencies are following up on cases involving the 22 politicians in court so as to ensure leaders who fall integrity test are barred from 2022 general election.

NCIC said that politicians flagged for propagating hate speech are likely to face charges and be jailed for about three years thus will not be allowed to vie for any political seat.

On the same note, a Bill by Parliamentary Account Committee has been tabled in the house to ensure that they link with the IEBC so that those MPs found guilty will be barred from engaging in active politics.

So far NCIC, EACC and other government agencies are following up on 22 politicians who are facing hate speech, graft and other criminal related charges.
