Uhuru’s Relative Goes After Ruto After Mama Ngina Slur

Date:

President Uhuru’s distant cousin Koinange wants Deputy President William Ruto to personally apologize to the President and the first family over attacks by his allies.

The Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange together with other MPs who accompanied him, on Tuesday, said while Ruto had condemned the attacks by his allies – MPs Oscar Sudi and Johana Ng’eno, it is not enough.

The ground that consisted of MPs Peter Kaluma (Homa Bay Town), Roza Buyu (Kisumu), Benard Mulu (Kitui Central), Wavinya Washira (Mwea), and Edward Kaunya (Teso North) argued that Sudi and Ng’eno are Ruto’s mouthpiece and thus the DP should personally apologize to the first family.

“We are glad that our Deputy President William Ruto has condemned the remarks made by Oscar Sudi. But that is not enough because the two MPs are believed by the general public to have been mere mouthpieces,” Koinange said.

“DP Ruto should apologize to the President, his family, and the entire nation in person and not through Twitter, ” he added.

The lawmakers condemned the attack on the President saying the attack was both against the African culture and the worst form of disrespect as well.

The group called on the NCIC to be on alert and tame leaders who are preparing the country towards violence ahead of the 2022 elections.

“Even if Sudi does not respect the president, he should at least respect the President’s family, most all his mother. Mama Ngina Kenyatta is not only a senior citizen by age but also the founding mother and First Lady of Kenya,” Koinange said.

Koinange aked the NCIC and all relevant agencies of government to move with to act against Sudi and Ng’eno and other leaders engaging in hate speech and endangering the cohesion of the nation.
