Okoth Obado is proving to be a hard nut to crack for ODM

Date:

The embattled Migori Governor, Okoth Obado has proven that he can’t be taken down easily.

This is after he was accused of working in cahoots with reporters to thwart his impending impeachment.

ODM leader, Raila Odinga’s Spokesperson, Dennis Onyango, has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to investigate Migori County Government officials to establish a paper trail between them and local journalists.

“On the pending impeachment motion in Migori, the DCI may need to conduct money trail between Migori County officials and unofficial networks and reporters and radio commentators in vernacular radio stations and even national newspapers,” he posted.

Mr. Onyango accused reporters of taking bribes to sway to public opinion against Obado’s impeachment that is being supported by ODM, a party that Governor Okoth Obado used to be the Governor of Migori.

“There’s too much money going around in Migori. The mainstream media has been compromised by the corrupt Obado and his hirelings,”

The impeachment has seen MCAs in the County turning each other, some supporting while some opposing the impeachment of the embattled Migori Governor, Okoth Obado.

Okoth’s supporters are crying foul reiterating the fact that other ODM Governors who are accused of corruption are given the benefit of the doubt while denying Okoth Obado’s the same if not equal treatment.

Pro Okoth Obado’s MCAs are adamant that the Governor cannot be removed from office based on unsubstantiated rumors.
