The body of a 10-year-old boy was found dumped in a maize farm in Soliat village, Kuresoi North, Nakuru County.
Reports say the boy had been sent to collect firewood on Thursday evening by his mother.
His mother said she found his son missing at home after coming from a funeral on that fateful day.
The area village elders, Samwel Rono Maina said the body of the boy was found in a maize farm after locals who mounted a search followed a blood trail.
“We first found little blood, then found more blood and clothes removed. then we found the body tucked in two sacks and tied with ropes,” he said.
According to Mr. Maina, the body of the body exhibited no injuries but had blood oozing from his nose, and suspected he had been strangled with a wire.
