A warrant of arrest has been issued against Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu.
Mohammed will be arrested over a surety he stood for a terror suspect identified as Noordin Hassan Abdallah.
This is after Abdallah failed to appear in court as required on October 4 and November 1, 2021.
The MP took the surety to ensure that Abdalla will appear in court and abide by the bail conditions.
The suspect was charged with being in possession of radicalization articles vide case number 846/16 before being released.
Mohammed was summoned to appear in court on October 4 but failed to do so prompting Kwale Principal Magistrate to issue the warrant the following day.
Abdallah was detained in Shimoni, Kwale, in 2019 while reportedly recruiting and radicalizing local youngsters for the Islamic State terror group. He was eventually prosecuted and freed on bail.
According to authorities, Abdallah is an associate of Salim Rashid Mohamed alias Chotara, an IS operatively who was filmed recently beheading people in DRC.
