President Uhuru has established a clear Pattern in his dealing with Reshuffles- sending everyone on Leave, then recalling them for a week and eventually sacking or retaining  his team
On December 2, 2017 weeks after the repeat elections, President Uhuru issued a memo to all Cabinet Secretaries to prepare handover notes, hinting at the possibility of unveiling his second-term cabinet soon.
In 2017, Analysts said that the directive was procedural to facilitate a smooth transition for the various ministries in the event of a major reshuffle.
Many experts predict that a new cabinet shall be announced by the 10th day of September.
Though the Memo released on Saturday did not talk about Hand Over, talk has been rife about major changes. It has been highly expected that all the Ruto Allies will be dropped in the new changes.
On January 5th, 2018 the President sent packing more than half of his Cabinet.
The President only announced names of those he has retained and some of those he has nominated.
No female CS was retained.
Among those dropped were Environment Cabinet Secretary Judi Wakhugu, Water and Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa, Willy Bett (Agriculture), Jacob Kaimenyi (Lands), Mwangi Kiunjuri (Devolution), Cleopa Mailu (Health), Sicily Kariuki (Gender), Phyllis Kandie (Labour), Amina Mohamed (Foreign), Ali Wario (Sports), Racheal Omamo (Defense) and Adan Mohamed (Industrialization).
The President, in his address to the nation the fateful  Friday did not name their replacement.
