Today, for the Madaraka Day celebrations, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto stepped out in matching outfits; black suits, white shirts and red dotted ties.

Kenyans were surprised, bearing in mind tensions that have been building up between the two.

The fact that they were both at the same venue after an explanation DP Ruto had given in light of the growing distance between the two since the Covid-19 hit the country, raised eyebrows.

The two were on at the front section of State House walking toward a balcony on the first floor where their wives were hanging out.

Rachel Ruto was dressed in a black dress which she paired with a white longsleeved coat while Margaret Kenyatta had donned an orange blouse accessorised by a headscarf.
