Truth Behind Police Opening Recruitment of Officers

The National Police Service has denounced claims that the recruitment of officers for 2024 has been opened.

In a statement dated Tuesday, January 2, the National Police Service dismissed the reports as fake news.

NPS flagged a misleading post which had been shared widely on various social media platforms announcing the alleged recruitment.

The faked poster indicated that the recruitment date had been set for Friday, January 5.

However, the National Police Service advised Kenyans against falling victim to the scheme.

“We wish to inform the public to disregard the fake news circulating on social media platforms regarding the purported recruitment into the National Police Service in January 2024,” NPS stated.

According to the service, the recruitment exercise will be made public through their official social media channels and other verified media stations.

However, at the moment, the police has not announced plans to recruit new service members.
