New Chelsea signing Timor Werner has said that Chelsea stands a better chance to win the next two champions league titles.
Speaking ahead of their game with Rennes, Werner said that he hopes his new team will go far in this year’s competitions.
“We are here to win the champions league and this year is a good chance. I think we have a good chance this year or next year to win the champions league. I came to win titles.” Said Werner.
The German star has made impact in Chelsea squad since his signing by scoring a number of goals within the shortest time possible. His flying start since joining Chelsea has made him a darling of Chelsea fans.
His signing this season came after Chelsea was given a transfer ban last year. The team had to go without buying any player, which saw them struggle to finish in position four. With the new signings, Chelsea has strengthened their attacking squad. The new players include Ziyech, Chilwell, Thiago Silva amongst others.
