Three suspected robbers were arrested at Gateway Mall as they tried to break into a car along Airport road on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses at the scene said the car which the robbers tried to been steal had been parked at the roadside as the owner had gone to withdraw some cash from the NIC bank Embakasi.
The suspects included two male adults with a female counterpart. From the pictures seen by our team, the three seemed to be in their late thirties.
According to witnesses, the suspected robbers have been noted to be notorious thieves in the area.
From the reports, the car the suspects were used for the attempted robbery had also been stolen.
“Hawa ni wezi was magari hapa (This are the car thieves in this area),” one of the residents referred to the suspects.

The unidentified suspects were taken into police custody after being rescued by police officers as the crowd tried to lynch them.
From the video, we have seen, one of the suspects pleaded not guilty as the seemingly angry crowd pounced on him with slaps and kicks.
“Aki mimi si mwizi, ( I swear am not a thief,” the unidentified suspect pleaded in Swahili.
At the time of our writing, the three are in police custody. However, the police officers are yet to give a public report concerning the incident.
