“This Is Serious” Aden Duale Mocks First Time MP Over Erroneous Maiden Speech In Parliament

Date:

Garissa Township MP and Defence CS nominee Aden Duale has bashed Mumias East MP Peter Salasya for making errors while making his maiden speech in parliament.

Through social media, Duale said that the issue was serious and it was unbelievable it was happening in such a respected house.

“This is serious , can’t be the August house . Mungu saidia,” the MP said.

Salasya caused drama in parliament on Wednesday when he kept referring to the deputy speaker Gladys Shollei as madam speaker sir. Members of parliament corrected him but within no time he found himself repeating the error further cracking MPs ribs.

“Madam speaker sir, we are having a lot of issues to speak, I am getting it slowly, I also want to ask this issue of electricity. Most of the women there were telling me this issue of electricity  that when I go into parliament, they want to see me on TV when I speak. Rural Electrification Authority is not performing so well the way KeRRA is doing its work, my request is that we net to get more transformers in our villages, madam speaker sir I am so grateful..,” he said in part of his speech.

Salasya is among the many Members of Parliament that were elected to parliament for the first time.

He was elected on a DAP-K party ticket, flooring seasoned politicians in the area. The 32-year old did not have a house and his constituents contributed money to set up one for him.
