WSR Presidential campaigns Communications Director Hussein Mohamed announced that UDA will be conducting interviews to get a presidential candidate.
The interviews for nominating UDA’s presidential candidature will be held on March 12,2022 at the Hustler plaza as from 8.30 am.
So far two people send applications to be nominated for the position including Deputy President William Ruto and Tracy Wanjiru Kingoli.
“UDA presidential nomination interviews to be conducted on Saturday 12th March 2022 @UDAKenya,” Hussein Mohamed shared on Twitter while accompanying his message with nomination letters that had been signed by the Secretary General of UDA Veronica Maina.
Among the requirements the applicants should carry themselves with include an IDs, academic certificates, Resumes, passport and proof of paying nomination fees.

Kenyans however feel that the whole process has been stage managed and it is obvious that William Ruto is the flag bearer of UDA.

“Stage managed democracy. Senator Cherargei on Citizen TV today said Ruto is the UDA presidential candidate,” Mateso bila chuki commented on Hussein’s post.
“@HusseinMohamedgand@UDAKenya@HusseinMohamedg, please we both know there isn’t any nomination. Will you be stepping on your conscience even in Ramadhan with this hypocrisy? Don’t make a living out of deceiving yourself and the public,” Al Bayit said.
“Tracy Wanjiru is a decoy to show people that you interview candidates. Try to tell Ruto that Tracy was No.1 and he became No. 2, you will see FIRE juu ya fire,” Oredo charles said.
The party further asked one Orina Jephnei Nyakwama who had asked for the presidential nomination fee to be waived to present his petition on on March 12 at 10.00 am.
Meanwhile, UDA will be having its National Delegates Convention on March 15 at the Kasarani indoor arena.
