The embattled Sirisia Member of Parliament who is currently out on bond in a corruption case, paid fines for 57 prisoners before he left the prison.
MP Waluke opened up saying that the fines that he paid were ranging from KSh. 1,000 to KShs. 10,000 and paid because he was in a position to help those who needed his assistance the most.
“I did it in my own capacity as a legislator because I could afford it,” the legislator said, “There are a number of prisoners who have been suffering for even more than one year for failing to raise KShs. 1,000”.
The Member of Parliament was able to raise the bond that was required of him after he spent almost 4 months in prison where he said he was treated just like any other prisoner would.
Hon. John Waluke was convicted in June for theft of KShs. 297 million from the National Cereals and Produce Board.

A 33-year old tycoon who intends to contest against Waluke for the Sirisia Parliamentary seat in 2022, Mr. Moses Nandwale offered to bail out the embattled legislator choosing to put politics aside and help him.
“I have been asked repeatedly after Waluke’s conviction to put politics aside and help him.
It should be known to all that I do not condone corruption. I desire to help everyone and through my Nandwale Foundation I aid everyone who needs help, including Waluke,” Nandwale said.
