Secret Behind The Rapid Withdrawal Of Court Cases Facing President Ruto’s Allies

Date:

Questions have been raised on why William Ruto’s allies that have been battling court cases on court cases are eventually walking away scot-free.

The recent developments have occurred just within a month since Ruto fully assumed his responsibilities as the fifth president.

Some who have gotten off the hook include Mithika Linturi who was facing attempted rape, Aisha Jumwa who facing a Kshs19 million graft case and former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal who was accused of misappropriation of Kshs80.7 million.

Jumwa and Linturi were nominated for PS positions while Lenolkulal was shortlisted for the Principal Secretary interviews. With the trend, it is evident that more of such cases will collapse

Due to the collapsing of cases, the opposition feels that the executive has a hand in the matter. Ruto’s allies have however come out to explain why the cases are being dismissed.

According to Dennis Itumbi, the cases were politically instigated and it was time to do away with them.

“Listening to @EricLatiff and team at The Situation Room of @SpiceFMKE on my way to the hustle. Interesting to listen to the Headline Analysis. We kept saying these were politically instigated cases, the end has come. The cases should never have come to court. @ODPP_KEis RIGHT!” he shared on social media.

“We had a @DCI_Kenya obsessed with Kifua. Madharau and Nonsense on Steroids and High Heels. It was just a matter of time. The Political stupidity had only one fate, to collapse! We said then, the hubris by the @DCI boss would collapse, because the shelf life of LIES is TRUTH!” Itumbi added.
