Rally driver Asad Khan to be buried today

Asad Khan, a seasoned rally driver, will be laid to rest today.

His passing on was reported by his family last night.

Hamna and Maheen are the two children he leaves behind.

The body of the deceased Kenyan rally driver Asad Khan will be buried later today at the Kariokor Muslim cemetery.

Adil Khan, the deceased’s brother, confirmed his passing by stating that he lost the battle to stay alive at Avenue Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment and care after his commotion with Maxine Wahome.

His family provided updates regarding the funeral prayer services later today at the Parklands Mosque on 3rd Parklands Road this morning.

Before the cortege departs for Kariokor at 4 pm, he will go through a full-body ritual purification procedure called ghusl.

Khan was admitted at Avenue Hospital where he unfortunately passed on after being hospitalized for extensive blood loss as a result of injuries sustained during an incident with his girlfriend Maxine Wahome at their Kileleshwa home.

Following the domestic altercation that resulted in the arrest of Maxine Wahome and later released on a cash bail, Asad was battling for his life in the High Dependency Unit at the Avenue Hospital in Nairobi.

Adil claimed that during the horrific attack on last Tuesday early, his brother suffered significant blood loss.
