PS Karanja Kibicho Tells Miguna What To Do For Him To Be Allowed In The Country

Date:

Interior PS Karanja Kibicho has denied claims that the government issued red alerts to block Miguna Miguna from returning to the country.

Kibicho told the High Court that the government had not directed international airlines against flying Miguna to the country.

“I confirm that no government agency has issued any so-called red alert to Air France and Lufthansa Group (operating as German Airlines) in relation to Miguna’s travel to Kenya,” Kibicho stated.

The PS instead told Miguna that the only way he can fly to the country is by acquiring his travel papers from the Kenya High Commission at Ottawa in Canada.

He added that the controversial lawyer can not be allowed in the country just by using his Identity Card.

Kibicho argued that the lawyer was travelling to Kenya using a Canadian passport as a Canadian citizen and therefore he requires a Visa to board a flight to Kenya.

Miguna’s attempt to return to Kenya has always faced obstacles with his recent journey ending in Berlin, Germany.

“This is to inform Kenyans and the world that Air France officials at the check-in counter at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport have just informed me that the Government of Kenya sent them a “Red Alert” this morning that they cannot fly me to Nairobi, ” Miguna said on twitter.

Through his lawyers, Miguna moved to court to ask the government to remove the red alerts against him that prevented the two airlines from flying him to the country.

Judge Hedwig Ong’undi however declined to grant Miguna’s wish saying that there was no evidence showing that there were red alerts against him.

He however vowed to continue fighting for justice saying that he will never bow to president Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

“To Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and Conman @RailaOdinga: I will never surrender no matter how fearful, desperate, brutal and childish you become. I will keep speaking the truth forever. Just checked into a hotel in Berlin. The struggle for social justice will continue. Viva!” he said.

The verdict on the issue of red alerts will be delivered on November 22, 2021.
