ODM leader Raila Odinga has been hailed for behaving maturely when tragedy befell his political enemy David Ole Sankok.
Sankok was thrown into mourning when his 15-year old son ended his life on Monday.
The lawmaker, a staunch supporter of DP William Ruto never wastes any chance to scold, troll and insult Raila.
Just hours before the death of his son was announced, Sankok took a swipe at president Uhuru Kenyatta over his Labor Day speech where he had bashed DP Ruto for failing to undertake his responsibilities in government and that he should resign.
In his remarks, Sankok claimed that Raila, whom he referred to as witch doctor, advised president Kenyatta to change the currency because Ruto was giving out a lot of money in church contributions. He also said that it was his fake government(when he got swore in as the people’s president) that caused a burden on Kenyans
Before that, he had criticized Raila’s brother Oburu Odinga saying,”Oburu Odinga was nominated to represent persons with disabilities, maybe his disabilities manifested itself at night.”
Sankok has also referred to Raila as a conman citing the 2017 incident where he asked Kenyans to contribute money for him for campaigns for the repeat of the presidential elections which he did not participate in.
According to the lawmaker, Raila also pretended to be a priest by dressing like a priest and his betrayal to Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Miguna and his other allies and that makes him a conman.
“He used the Mpesa paybill number 991444 to tell Kenyans to contribute money for him for the repeat of presidential elections but until today, Kenyans have not been told where the money went to, and they contributed for the elections. There is also a time he gave a paybill to collect money for teachers who were striking. No single teacher was given that money,” he said while at the coast.
In a separate post, Sankok accused Raila of being responsible for the accident that almost cost the life of the late Mwai Kibaki.
“Raila claimed he allowed Kibaki to pass and go ahead of him just before Machakos roundabout and that is how Kibaki got the accident. Witchcraft is real,” he wrote.
Aside from that, Sankok accused Raila of instigating violence, that cost the lives of many after the 2007 elections, just to get into government.
“Mzee Kibaki as you lie cold in the morgue; The man who used a bridge of Dead bodies to grab half of your government in the nusu mkate nusu mkeka arrangement is crying the loudest,” he said.
Worst of all, the nominated MP accused Raila of sacrificing his son Fidel Odinga to win elections.
Despite all the hatred that Sankol has shown the ODM leader, he did not hesitate to condole Sankok for the loss of his son.
“Hon. David Sankok, it is painful to experience losing a child, and even more so, difficult having to bury one; we stand with you during this difficult time. Please accept condolences from Mama Ida and I. May God grant your entire family fortitude. We are praying for you,” Raila’s condolence message read.
Sankok politely respond to the condolence message showing no sign of hate or spite.
“Thank you sir, I and my family sincerely thank you for standing with us during the most during our most difficult time. May God bless you and your family.”
